Smt. Ratna Atmaram Rao had been associated with blind welfare since 1977. She & her husband Mr. V. Atmaram Rao started the Association in a rented building.
Being a visionary in blind welfare she established various training programs in Karnataka for the Education, Training, Employment and General Welfare of the blind in Karnataka. She has left behind a monument to show the good work to be carried forward
