Training to Recane the chairs in progress at Rehabilitation & Basic Training Centre

The Rehabilitation & Basic training centre trains visually challenged persons in basic trades like re-caning of chairs, chalk making, camphor making weaving, file & paper cover making & daily living skills like cooking etc. At the end of the course the trainee will be able to start his own unit for chalk making/camphor making or re-caning.

Duration of the course

This is a 12 month course from April-March every year

Eligibility

Any person who is visually challenged, male/female of age 16-35 years with normal health

Accommodation

Separate hostels available for male & female trainees

Fees

No fees is charged either for the training or for food & accommodation.
